Breakfast of Champions

What is it?
The Breakfast of Champions is the "time trial" at Leroy Oakes Forest Preserve (map at left). This is an important "practice run" for the team and for all team parents. While the teams learn how to run in a high school race, the parents will learn what needs to happen to host a successful meet. Both team members and parents attend the Breakfast of Champions.
Boys arrive by 6:00 run at 7:00
Girls arrive by 6:15 run at 7:30
What to expect?
- have informational talk about the upcoming season with the coaches
- sign up for next week's Leavey Invite parent volunteer positions
- run a time trial for the teams (parents see how a meet works)
- eat breakfast
- athlete and parent photos
Each team member should bring enough to feed 8.
- Seniors: bagels
- Juniors: fruit
- Sophomores: coffee cake
- Freshman: juice (boys), fruit (girls)
